Subjects of hectic lifestyles, 3 friends came together to set up Freshman, a fruits and juice retail kiosk in Singapore. Their goal was not only to improve diets, but to also put a smile on the faces of busy shoppers and office workers. With the opening of their fifth outlet, we were asked to update and strengthen the brand identity.

It was apparent from the start that the fruit characters that were used in their menu were the best tools to convey the brand’s intent – promoting healthy lifestyle through a good diet and large doses of laughter.

Looking dated and uninspiring, we proceeded to develop a fresh set of fruit characters, each with interesting names and background stories. These characters would later be used as point of interests at their retail kiosk, on the packaging and online communications, effectively reinforcing the brand mission.
